Change is Good

Notice anything different? We all loved those worms – and the bee – but we thought it was time for a change so we have a new look!

Please let me know what you think, and stay tuned for more posts, rants and ramblings.

Oh, and I would be remiss if I didn’t thank Auntie Beak for her creative input and technical expertise. So thanks, AB!

Very nice. I like it. Lovely, with promise of thorns and storms.

Thanks, Andy. I am going to change the photos with the seasons, too.
Do you by any chance recognize the salt marsh in that picture?

I don’t actually. Which one is it — and is it good for birdwatching?

It’s Succotash marsh in Jerusalem, and it’s considered one of the birding “hotspots” in the state. We live near the edge and the bird life is great, but the noise from gunfire when hunting season starts – not so much.

  2. I like the near and far, and wide view!

Is the rose a wildflower, or the edge of ‘your garden’?

Thanks for the feedback, Diana! The flowers are wild rugosa roses, otherwise known as “beach roses.” They are considered invasive in these parts, but they still smell nice and they are found everywhere along the shore.

I took the photo at the edge of a salt marsh near our house.
